    Maine route 9 (airline)

We're going to Acadia NP on Victoria Day weekend and are looking for hike suggestions for the return trip (route 9, Maine, eastbound between Bangor and Calais). 2-3 hours round trip would be perfect, but not picky.. Looking to break up the trip a bit.

Not off route 9 but would work as returning home hike. About an hours drive from Acadia.

I would second Joe's recommendation. You also can check out various nearby opportunities from these organizations:

The Maine Mountain Guide had hikes along RT 9. The highest is Lead Mountain at 1500 and change if I remember correctly. I haven't lived in Maine for a few years now so I don't remember the others but there were a few off of there.
