WMNF Fabyan Guard Station listed on National Historic Register

Quite a few folks probably don't know this place exists as its off the beaten path except to those who visit the Cherry Mountain road party campsites.

Nice to read about this -- thanks for posting.

Several such guard stations in Utah, in particular in/near the Dixie National Forest, not too far from Escalante, have been preserved in a similar method. A couple of these can even be rented out.

In all my years hanging out up there, I did not know of this. Maybe I saw it, I used to rabbit hunt the Cherry mtn. rd. Will drive by next time up there.

Pass by it on the snowmobile trail. Didn't they just refurbish it?
