    Chocorua via Liberty 4/22/15

Snow free for about 1/2 way, bare booted whole way, with 1 crotch deep post hole. Other than that, no problems. Trail was wet from the snow melt and rain we had. Should be drier now.

The yellow trail starts on Horne Rd, about 100 yds past the snow machine trail, near some mail boxes (289?). This is near the end of the maintained road. I do not like the upper route, as it goes straight up erodible soils, but it nice to have a trail. I have not found the start of the red...

Bucklin Trail Killington 9 Jun 12

I discovered on the way out that this trail is listed as closed. There is a big relo going on due to damage from Irene. Otherwise the trail is in good condition, and easy to follow.

    Mt.Washington Winter Ascent for Novices

Wasington in Winter, No for Novice If you have to ask, you are not ready. Try smaller peaks and work up 4000 footers. Then start with easy 4ks like Jackson. Get out there and hike and pay your dues, you will enjoy it more, unguided, making your own decisions. I don't think a winter (or any...

    Help with Scarpa T-Series Boots

Scarpas I do not have unusual feet so my advice may be of no use, but when I bought my t-3s they hurt so much to even ski lift served was doubtful. Now they are my favorite boot. I hike in them all the time ski ice climb  . It might just take a little time. Where did you find them...
