Very nice meeting you Willoughby! As I only get to the Whites 3-4 times a year I try to avoid crowds, However FOT48 is always a great event. Even though this marks a sad day in history it is hard not to be happy on a peak with other hikers and a common reason for being there.

Since you guys are playing with fire try lighting a Ping Pong ball some time. They are very lite and burn hot a long time and I would think they are water proof.

How can you just not get a pass? The cost is so low it just makes no sense to me. It takes all of five min. I dont have my pass for this yr but I will my first trip up next month, what is it 20 bucks? Thats not even a good bottle of Brandy!!
