haha, sorry, I was shoveling. Like Grouse said, Whites way over performed, with over 18 in places. The upslope looks OK, but not amazing tomorrow. Maybe another 2-4 in places. Some snow showers this weekend, but a more sig storm may be brewing for next week.

Don't worry, things will get nice and White again in the Whites. Central NH north will get 3-6 inches of snow tonight, above 3000 feet may get 8-10 over the next 2 days. Also, Quietman I am sure watching that storm for this weekend, has serious potential.

By Thursday, the rain will change to a brief period of snow before ending. This weekend will be colder with snow showers. I think the most you can expect up there would be about an inch, so I would say go.

I am all about tasteful clearing of mountain views, nice pictures!

The Whites will look beautiful this weekend with the fresh coat of white above 3000 feet. Wish I could get up there..someone take pictures for me. Very impressive coat of rime and snow on Mount Washington too.

The western and parts of the central Whites got hit by minor/major flooding. I just got back from Kinsman Notch area, and 112 where 6+inches of rain have left large mudslides along 112 in Stillwater. The Wild Ammonoosuc is very high and is near breaching several of the upper bridges. Other than...

Well, it's begun, the first snow of the year is falling on Mount Washington at about 10:50 this morning. There may have been flakes mixed in over the last 24 hours, but this is the first hourly report from the NWS showing light snow showers. They had several hours of ice pellets this morning...

Beautiful, top 5 most impressive places in the Whites. Did you get to the spot where Red Rock brook goes underground? It is incredible, one minute it flowing heavily, then it just vanishes into some moss covered rocks.
