I had the honor of being the first to purchase the card years ago, just before rollout. I worked at DES, next door to F&G on Hazen Drive and wound up connected with the person in charge of the launch (discussing another matter), so I asked to be first. The Tampa grandkids have been "persuaded"...
Worked for DES for years and as we were representative of a State of NH agency, the majority of us refrained from publicly commenting on media articles and voicing contrary opinions during events and presentations to the public. It was never an issue for me and I too, am happy to support F&G in...
Anyone know the episode number? I may have missed it in the comments. I love this show, reminds me of home, but there are some episodes where not much goes on (the raccoon finds his own way out of the basement, the hiker made his own way down) and if I knew which episode I could get to the...
As a hike leader in my community (and someone in her 60s), my first thought when I heard where he was hiking was of his age. I’m being honest - not judgy. I have folks in their 70s and a few in their 80s hiking with me and they are good company - grateful to be still doing it. But my routes are...
Curious if it's still closed. I don't see any mention of it on the Forest Service webpage. I live out of the area now and took family for a week in the Whites last week. Feeling VERY lucky we enjoyed great weather!

The OBT “camp” is about a mile up and when we passed yesterday they were taking a break but it looked like they were making great progress. About 200’ of trails being worked on
It's a tab that takes a lot of stress as once the fly's attached to the tent, both tent and fly are pulled tight and staked. Big Agnes is fixing it. It tried to get a suggestion from then on gluing. I did have to pay to send it but they've indicated they wont charge for the fix. We will see!
I've searched the internet for help with this problem without luck. I have a Big Agnes ultralight that I've used about 8 times. I baby that thing. This past weekend I put it up (warm day) and by night, the clip that attaches the fly to the tent (to pull the side of the tent out for room), had...
I haven't been looking at Covid deaths but I think it's 3% of the cases in this state. We have more than the usual share of elderly and infirmed. And yes, there are three counties: Dade Broward and Palm Beach (think Miami area) that are still at a high rate of infection. Interestingly there...
It would take a lot to make the huts go away. If that ever happens I hope it's not until I can take my grandkids to all of them (yes, selfish, they are Tampa kids who are learning to love my home state).
In Florida we have just .1% of the population that has been diagnosed with Covid-19...
My thoughts exactly. The only way the huts could be opened IMO would be if they could successfully book one family per room. Might work at Lonesome Lake, but huts like Lakes, Zealand - seems to me not profitable with that kind of model. And that doesn't address the staff quarters. JBL -...
Thanks iAmKrzys. I see this on page 2 "...any person resident or non-resident, traveling into Maine must immediately self-quarantine for 14
days or for the balance of 14 days dating from the day of arrival, except when engaging in essential services as defined in Executive Order 19FY 19/20."...
