No, pet dogs are not allowed in Baxter State Park.

Stinkyfeet is not the person in question. She was merely quoting the person in question. I made this mistake at first read.

    drones

This needs to be re written/ edited . I'm not exactly sure what you mean here. I'm sure it's a small typo but it makes no sense as is.

You shouldn't walk into the woods with that expectation. I can walk around with my camera all day and if I take a picture of you, tough beans for you. I would however have the courtesy to not annoy the heck out of you. If you do see a camera pointed at you. Do something cool. I wouldn't...

    Trace lost cell phones?

Keep in mind. Airplane mode does not typically disable the GPS. (In any phone I've used). You can use your hiking/tracking apps to keep tabs on your movements while in airplane mode whilst reducing battery load. You will of course not be able to see map data that isn't pre-cached.

    Trace lost cell phones?

I am able with my Android phone to find it. It's done by logging into your Google account and go into your sign in and security settings. Then tap find your phone. It will show you using Google maps where it was last seen. A new feature that has been released for Google maps that I'm not...

    Butt sledding haters?

I don't worry too much about the micros breaking my leg. (Crampons of course I do) I worry about accidentally hitting someone else with them on. Nothing ends a good day like spikes to the shins. Or a snow shoe. Oof.having said that I try to control my speed so I don't end up on the wrong end...

Things are heating up over ATV trails in Nash Stream

I just went up south Percy 3 days ago. The trail had no indications of it being closed. There was a sign stating that south Percy was thisaway near the junction of the Percy peaks trail and the Old Summer Club trail. If it is closed they are not doing a very good job of it. If you wan't...

    Camping On The Ocean

I have read good things about the Bold Coast of Maine. It's sure to be less populated since it's so far away from anything.

    Proposed Huntington Ravine Warning Sign

Keep warning signs out of the wilderness areas! 6 husband's wasn't that bad at all unless you have an irrational fear of ladders. (And I do). There was no point with those overbuilt ladders that I thought I was in any danger. It was a fun diversion up an otherwise rather steep trail. Perhaps...

I had a feeling hiking was good for me...

Fresh mountain air and a bit of exercise. Who'd a thunk it?! I've personally noticed that after a good sized hike, my performance at work for the following days is much higher. Even after some monster drive both ways and 12-15 miles. I can be exhausted but perform better for whatever reason.
