Barebooted to base of slide and then put on microspikes. Ladder was just snow covered - not icy. Top half of ladder there is a huge tree on top of it but you can go to left easily. There were many icy areas to navigate: But the views from the summit were worth it: Life is good...

Great hike up Tabletop today - about 6 inches of snow near summit. Microspikes very useful that last mile on ascent to summit. Pretty windy but nice and protected on our route. We met Tom and Alex on the trail heading to Marcy: And then we 'heard the footprints'

Perfect weather for this hike! No traction needed except for we used microspikes on many iceflows from Colvin intersection to Nippletop/Dial Interection: Views were awesome!
