When are the wild/alpine flowers in bloom on Washington? I'm headed to the Whites this weekend and if they're in bloom now that's my plan. If not, it'll be Owl's Head (depending on stream crossings), or something yet to be determined as my third option. Thanks, Amy

I plan to stay in the Waterville Valley this weekend, and would welcome suggested hikes. I will be there for 1 and 2 half days. The full day will be the Tripyramids. I'm looking for a 3-5 hour hike for the other days. I'm pretty much at book time (faster up and slower down, but it evens out)...

Hi. Later this week I plan to take the Rocky Branch trail from 16 to Mt. Isolation (never taken this route before). With the recent rain, what can I expect for stream crossings? Will they be do-able? If there's any doubt I'll take the Glen Boulder (?) trail, but that would be a far second...
