    Owls Head - Brutus Bushwhack

I'm hiking Owls Head with a friend on the 15th, my second time doing OH and his first. I missed the Brutus Bushwhack on my first tour up OH. Is there a landmark or something to find where it starts? Thanks.

    Sawyer River Road Status?

I'm doing my final NH 48, Mt. Carrigain, on Oct 21. Just read the WMNF Road status report which says the Sawyer River Road opened Oct. 6. Has anyone been on it? This will be good news to many who are doing the hike with me and didn't appreciate the extra four miles if the road was closed.
