While in Harriman State Park Jan 2nd, I noticed the entrance to Rt 106 off of Seven Lakes Drive had been reopened. Is it open from the Rt 17 side as well?

I think they've fixed the bridge, but isn't that one of the roads that is closed in winter??

Not sure. I have parked in the parking area past Lake Stahahe a couple of times in winter.

My understanding is that it is now open all the way. It's a county road, so it's not closed in winter... but plowing it isn't a high priority. That may change, as the park agreed to take it over from the county once the Kanawauke bridges were rebuilt by the county (the bridges are up, but not finished; they're supposed to be faced with stone to recreate the original appearance). Once it becomes a park road the park may choose to close it for the winter but probably not; it serves two lake foreman residences and several group camps.
