I used snowshoes to go from where the Trail Ridge Road (RMNP) is closed to cars (9700 feet) to just a little beyond treeline. It was nice and warm (temps in the 60s with very intense sun) but the snow conditions were abysmal. All chewed up from barebooters and getting softer by the hour as I climbed up. However, the scenery is spectacular and I only met 3 others the entire day..2 on snowshoes and one on skis.

Nice pictures. I unfortunately have to avoid RMNP, because of its dog policy. Too bad, it's a beautiful part of CO.
