How do I post a quote where it shows the statement in italics "originally posted by so and so" ?

Instead of clicking "post reply", click "quote" (next to "edit", and above "post reply").

Three ways.

1) click on the "quote" button on the bottom of the note you want to quote. That pulls up the whole note so you may then want to cut out all but the relavent part.

2) Use the "Quote" button on the top of the edit screen:
This was typed using the "Quote" button.
3) use the html directives for quote and for bold.
Here I typed using the quote and bold directives and the closing directives.
The directives are the word "quote" or "b" in square brackets. The closing directives are the same with a slash in front of the word inside the brackets.

Awesome, thanks! I was using just the Quote button after hitting Post Reply.
