I'm looking for info on which has the easiest access and set-up. This is for the boys and a nephew, so a 50' or so climb is fine. We'll be up there this coming week. Artists Bluff, Indian Head or Eagle Cliff. Thanks

BTW: I plan to get the rock climbing guide to the area when I'm there, but thought I could save some time by asking here first.

Why toprope when you can drive less than an hour to Rumney?

I have a sport rack you can borrow if you'd like.

Just looking for a half day local outing. This will be my nephew's first time out.

Check out this site:

Routes by Craig (http://www.neclimbs.com/index.php?PageName=routes_list&SortID=1&ClimbingType=1)

In Crawford Notch there are several including Elephant Head with two routes:
The Eye (http://www.neclimbs.com/index.php?PageName=routes&RouteID=74)

The Trunk (http://www.neclimbs.com/index.php?PageName=routes&RouteID=74)

We'll be in Twin Mountain all next week if your looking for company for a hike or something.

Just a guess, but among Chip's choices I'd put my money on Artist's bluff for ease of access.

Secrets of the Notch by Jon Sykes is the best guidebook I know of for the Franconia Notch area.

I like Echo Crag. The access is very easy but most of the routes need to be lead first to set up a top rope on routes.
