Trails: Caribou & Mud Brook Trails (Loop)

Trail Conditions: Both trails are in reasonable shape. Some mud on both. Short steep section on Mud Brook was dry. All crossings easy. Minor blowdowns.

Special Equipment Required: sunscreen, poles. I don't always use poles but they were helpful through the muddy sections and at the numerous small stream crossings.

Comments: Another spectacular hike with breathtaking 360 degree views for moderate effort. 7 miles, 1900' gain. Kees Falls is worth a 100 foot side trip. There are also several other smaller falls. The puppy appreciated all of the water and mud. Trail a little bit hard to follow on top - look for faint yellow paint. Good solitude hike; we met 6 people and one dog all day. Build in an extra half hour for taking in the views!
