Hi Darren

I am seeing a lot of questions concerning road openings. Their seems to be more concerning WMNF. Perhaps questions about the ADKs don't register because I am not familiar with the names.

MY suggestion: Post a sticky for the next month or so with road openings. Maybe only a select few that live in the area would be given permission to post on that thread.

A more general solution might be an FAQ. MIght be preferable to seeing the same questions every week or two...

Mohamed does a good job keeping this info up to date at his website

Agreed. But many newcomers don't know about his list. A pointer to it in an FAQ might help them find it on their own.

IMO, placing pointers to the info rather than the info itself would be an appropriate (and easier) approach to an FAQ.

Mohamed's site now points here. He has a note that the forest service is maintaining it.

Too bad. Mohamed had some additional roads like Ravine Lodge.

I wish I'd looked at this thread before heading up to New Hampshire Friday. I could have taken Bear Notch Road home after all. Oh well.

I must confess that when I saw "Forest Road Sticky" I thought there'd been some sort of maple-sugaring accident.
