Darren,

When we, as users, encounter posts that we believe to be off-topic or in violation of the Site Rules, which of the following approaches will cause you and Peakbagr the least amount of headache or will be the most useful to you?

1) DO NOTHING - And let the moderators do their job on their own.

2) REPORT THE POST USING THE "REPORT BAD POST" FEATURE

3) TRY TO CORRECT THE PERSON PRIVATELY - Via PM, e-mail or the feedback feature

4) TRY TO CORRECT THE PERSON PUBLICLY - Via a follow-up post

PS: Please lock this thread as soon as you've responded. I have no interest in seeing this kick off a conversation.

Thanks,

darren

Please use the "Report Bad Post" feature. For those of you that do not know, if you see a post that does not belong on the site, click on the red triangle with the exclamation point (http://www.vftt.org/forums/images/buttons/report.gif) below the poster's name and info. That will send an emails to peakbagr and I and we will deal with it.

If users want to also send a PM or an email to the offending poster, then go right ahead. A little self policing by the users can go a long way in correcting bad habits. Keep the communications civil though, no personal attacks.
