  • Great. I am glad you are close and it works. It's a nice spot for a quick trip. They recently redid the parking area and the put in. Have fun!
It's just a green star, not a gold star. Teachers!

    This isn't a self-esteem encounter group.

Sarcasm is good like snarky. :D
Green alien in ok but I'm still trying to come up with something that makes a better statment about green. Got any ideas?
Got a PM saying I was irritating them with it and was asked to get rid of it. I'll have to find something more subtle. :D
Yup! I've gotten far too many of those "this is how you feel and what you mean" public comments from that particular member not to! Thank goodness because I'd be so lost without the unsolicited advice <snark>
Snakry is good. I liked it. It made me smile. Today is a good day, I feel fine with myself, well sort of...I'm an old,....out of shape guy... lots of achs and pains. Forget that ,now I feel bad.:( ..... Not really :D:)

These particular Salomons are no longer made ( the "Snowbow"), but it looks like they have a new boot that is similar with even better insulation: Salomon Toundra I have also had really good luck with Cabela's "Snowrunner" and "Avalanche", which can be had remarkably cheap ( $67!). The Snowrunner is a bit more flexible, but both soles are suitable for screws. I have an ancient webpage that gives some more info on screwboots here. Best of luck in all your screwy ventures!
Thanks gaiagirl! I originally found info on screws as traction aids on runner Matt Carpenter's site, then started using them for boots, eventually finding these bigger ice racing screws, which work much better on mountain ice and snow than sheet metal screws, and they stay in.
