Good thing you specified the location. I thought it might have been the one near Black Mtn & Sugarloaf ;-)
Not yet. But reading this bumps it higher on the list.

This is somewhere on my 'To Climb' list. Good to hear that access is not a problem.
It appears to have enough woods around to make a day of it.
Somehow, I just couldn't get myself to step closer ;-)
At first, I saw Mom from behind, but seeing the yearling changed everything. I stayed at the edge of the road and looked for escape routes.
Mom wins!

It's like an essay contest to win a pair of crampons! ;)

Any yahoo can figure out the rest.
I took a nap on a hilltop with no name, trail or notable prominence.
I wore a sleeping pad.
Dundee Road on the east and southeast has potential. IIRC it may have some potential parking spots. You would need to be careful navigating back, though. It does have it's share of back yards.
I saw the Bureau of Trails groomer and one snowmobile all day, but it was a Monday. On a weekend day, I would advise staying alert.
Probably won't need the snowshoes. I barebooted on Shannon Brook on Monday. The mountain is covered with groomed snowmobile trails. With the thaw on Weds & Thurs, followed by freeze, the trails...
On the ridge north of Hutchins I found something that looked like an old snow machine trail.
Doesn't qualify as 'between', though. :--)
NW Hancock still had one about 6 years ago. There were entries going back to 1970 or 71.
With the lack of snow pack, you may even get to see the remains of the wood stove.
The entire area has a thin, icy crust.
I ascended Skatutakee, went over to The Thumb, then did a meandering bushwhack over to Cobb Hill. I barebooted the whole way, but some sort of traction aid...
I did it three or four years ago and found it to be the same. It had quite a reputation, though.
Like Roy said, either the spruce trees are growing or dying.
Chilly flashbacks of my yute!
Ft Wainwright, AK was still flying Hueys in 1984.

I replaced the pins that the crampon rotates upon.
It wasn't for sissies. Maybe some of you more evolved apes that are better with tools would have an easier time, but it took me quite a while to...
Davis Path is well packed up to the Mt Crawford spur, probably bare-bootable. I broke it out to the junction with the Mt Parker Trail, took the Mt Parker Tr up to the height of land, then crashed...
I was also there in November. The winter gate was closed due to washouts.
While I don't have anything definite, I'd be quite surprised if the gate is open. There was enough surface to drive a...
The logging roads & snowmobile trails are in good shape, even drivable, if you could get a vehicle in there. I only followed the path to the reservoir for a short ways, but it was clear. Probably...
It's a decent route. I did this with Jericho back in July, starting at the ATV park. There was scrappiness in the col, but the ridge leading up to Forest was wide open.
I started early and went...
Did you go in from the Welch-Dickey parking lot?
I approached from Millbrook Road and ending up following an old or little used trail part of the way.
We then headed up NW Baby, the evil twin. We skirted around the cliffs as best we could, but did find a spot where we could zig-zag up, assisted by steps, hand-holds, grunting and moderate cursing....
This one had a pool that was undisturbed. I could see snail tracks, or something, crossing the bottom.

I managed to convince dms to roll out early for a trip in shortened November daylight.
We parked at the gate to White Ledge Campground. Someone else had arrived earlier, in a car with hiking...
