My wife and I took a ride up to Greylock Glen yesterday for a walk. I was telling her about my three hikes this fall around the mountain. One of which was Saddle Ball Mt.
We later went down rte. 7 to Pontoosac Lake in Pittfield. When you look north to the mountains from the parking area, you can see the tower on top of Mt. Greylock. Is the peak to the west Saddle Ball? From the lake it looks bigger than Greylock, because it is a bit south which would be closer to where we were.
The elevation difference is only about 250-300 feet between the two peaks.
