Interesting article. I just happen to be reading Dark Star Safari by Pual Theroux right now, about his travels a few years ago thru Africa. I just got to the part where he reaches South Africa. This story may seem shocking if it happened in the US, but I would suspect that this is just a humorous story in Africa. I could only imagine muggers up on top of Mt Adams or Mt Katahdin. I guess that's what it means to be self employed.
