Pharoah Lake area

Anyone live/work in that area of the Dacks that can give me a hint as to how much snow you have received so far? I know they are predicting more Thursday. We are heading up to camp at Crane Pond and hike Pharoah Mt. this weekend.

Showshoes/skis required?

In Saranac Lake, we have only 2-3 inches on the ground at the moment. I doubt that Pharaoh Lake Wilderness has more.

Not near as much as was predicted. Only an inch or so in the Champlain valley. Maybe 2-4 at the base of the High Peaks (Lake Placid, Keene, etc). Not sure how much there is higher up though. It rained in the valley until early afternoon yesterday. It was probably snow higher up though.

No snow at my friend's house on Schroon Lake as of this morning.

I ran Reach the Beach with him 2 years ago - we met you in the Whites.

Thanks for this info - i just saw the weather for this Thanksgiving - i am hoping his house in Schroon is covered in "the white stuff" by Friday am.

another friend that lives on the other side of Schroon Lake. I try to cultivate friends with lakeside property.
