Backpackinglight Subscription Question

I know that there are probably quite a few on Whiteblaze that subscribe to
BackpackingLight , but I was wondering if there were any VFTT members that subscribe and if you find value for the $25/year subscription.

The forums are really slow going...maybe 1 post a day in each section...the articles are cool, but I joined after deciding to buy a bivy from them, and it was going to save me $20 if I joined(I guess the marketing worked), so I joined in my mind for $5. The articles ARE worth that. Tarp camping article, snow cave article are two that come to mind. They ship some of their stuff for free, especially smaller stuff which is cool too.

Crowd is worldwide as well, and most of their pursuits are out west, which I like reading about. See you over there if you join! GNR

I agree that the forums are extremely slow, but the reviews are some of the best I have ever read.

The gear reviews and how to articles are excellent. Some of the posters get a little carried away with the lightness. They have a print magazine as well.
