Melrose, MA; Avatar: Prepping for my first 12 hour
Anyone been in NH's Belknap Range recently? I was thinking of a run up Mt. Major on Sunday since it's going to be too cold and windy to head up north (ok I'm copping out) but I'm still looking for a mountain fix. Mt. Major usually delivers in such a pinch. But with the warm weather this past week, is there any snow on the peak? How about ice? Are crampons a current necessity?
