Took it easy today, small bushwhack to keep the legs from cramping up. These were the last two peaks we had left on the Willsboro Bay Quad-so we decided to finish them up.

We got a lazy morning start 10:30am, spotted a car on Rte 22 just off exit 33. Drove around to Hadley Pond to start out hike. We hiked around the pond on an old jeep road, not posted and looked like was public access into the area. The road goes through a really cool notch with large cliffs and rock falls, looked kind of like Rte 73 near Chapel Pond with all the rubble.

The onlt issue we had with the old road was the ankle deep mud that hidden or had the look of hard pack until a delicate 200+ pounds stepped on it; and didn't we have to go through part of it twice, because we missed a turn off along the way-damn GPS guy.

Well on a good note-Drake was absolutly awesome. At different points on the summit we got views in all direction-Lake Champlain was a stone throw away.

From here it was a ridge walk away to Bigelow, but the ridge has several bumps along the way, not many of which could be avoided. But the different bumps had a ton of rock to climb and play on, and who doesn't love playing on rock?

Along the ridge we did come to a well made and maintained trail that went all the way to the summit, not going to complain, it wasn't posted, so we used it. The views we decent, not wide open like Drake but they were good. We found two survey marker on top and a bunch of debres, wire, and tiedowns from something that was there. Anyone know what it was??

The hike out to the car was along this same path for a while then on an old-really old-jeep road, tat was mud heaven in spots. But it got us where we needed to go, in fact it took us to a power line that took us to within .1 miles of the car-nice.
