Maptech now offers an update to version 7.02 that will now allow you to install maps to your hardrive so you don't have to load the cd to view a map. I downloaded it for free, but i'm not sure if you need to be registered to do so (I am). Check out their site for more details.

You can download the topo maps to your computer ever since 6.04 Beta, which I have...

I gather they must of released a new major revision if they're up to 7.02
