I heard on NPR this evening that there was a medical emergency and helicopter rescue from the top of Mt. Flume (an unusual place for rescues...). Has anybody found more details?

Not such an unusual spot--they litter victims to bare spots on the ridge because helicopters can land there.Haystacker said:

Hiker rescued from Mt. Flume
LINCOLN, N.H. (AP) -- A 45-year-old Rye (New Hampshire) man was rescued from Mount Flume this afternoon after his companion called for help.
Fish and Game Lieutenant Todd Bogardus identified the hiker as Scott Muse. He said Muse had was having some sort of medical problem and was air lifted to a Plymouth hospital for evaluation.
