White Mountain National Forest Participates in Fee Free Veterans Day for Veterans and Members of the U.S. Armed Forces
The White Mountain National Forest is pleased to announce that all day-use fees will be waived for U.S. veterans, members of the U.S. armed forces, and their families on Saturday, November 11.
The Department of Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns and Department of the Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne announced that, beginning this Veterans Day, U.S. veterans, members of the U.S. armed forces, and their families will be admitted free-of-charge on Veterans Day to public lands managed by the Department of Agriculture and Department of the Interior. This Veterans Day waiver will apply on November 11 of each year, regardless of the day of the week.
Recreation fees will be waived across the White Mountain National Forest. However, fees will remain in effect for overnight camping, cabin rentals, permits, reservations, and activities offered by concessionaires.
