This was a Thanksgiving Day hike for us. Our approach was through totally open woods, up a very delicate incline. We found a really old woods road part way up, but lost it not long after we started on it.

Just below the summit was a very nice ledge/slab roack we enjoyed small views from. The summit itself was wooded and none to interesting. But it's better than sitting at home doing squat.

Now it was off to South Bouquet. On our steep descent into thew col we came across an interesting sign. No hunting, fishing or trapping. Hiking, photography, and nature study allowed. It was private land beyond this point but open to us through some wildlife protection zone. Pretty cool, never seen that before. So the rest of our hike was in very wild country. A kind of haven for wildlife. But, we didn't see any-actually I don't think they can read the sings to know to hang out there.

Anyhow this climb was a little steeper to a very nice summit area. Filled with amazing views-although not all in one spot. We had to search them out. The descent back to the car had us skirting some very steep terrain, and some nasty second growth of shin hobble, and saplings. But a nice a few hours in the woods anyhow.
