Just thought I would ask...... some of mine in the Catskills are
1. Ashokan High Point
2. Kaaterskill High Peak
3. Doubletop
4. Slide
5. Wittenberg

In the Adirondacks
1. Algonquin
2. Wright's Peak
3. Gothics
4. Rocky Peak Ridge

I need to do more climbing in the ADK's soon. :)

In the Catskills:
Wittenberg
SW Hunter
Huntersfield
Black Head
Thomas Cole
A number of the lower Catskill100's

In the ADKs:
Adams
Noonmark
Gothics
ST#5
Dix
Moose
SaddleBack-Jay
ST#3(REALLY kidding about this one)

Good thread, Freddy.

Catskills: Wittenberg

Adks: Too many to choose.
Gothics, Algonquin, Haystack, Noonmark, Grace, Dix, Colden, Couch...

I've only hiked in the Dacks, and haven't done that many...
1. Gothics
2. Wright

I'm obsessed with Everest, but that's not in the 46.

Adirondacks: too many to choose from, of course, but some cream rises to the surface, based NOT ONLY on summit views BUT ALSO on the overall hike (in no particular order):

Rocky Peak Ridge
Seymour
Basin
Pyramid
Noonmark
Grace (from Rt. 73)
Cliff in summer (yes, Cliff)

Catskills: probably too soon to give an informed opinion, but:
Plateau
Denman
Giant Ledges
Thomas Cole

Conditions, views, etc. may alter these choices.

In the Catskills, the Wittenberg and Cornell combination: interesting approaches from a number of directions, great views, classic scrambly Catskill trail topography. It helps also that they're close enough to Phoenicia to hit Sweet Sue's for pancakes!

Catskills:
Sugarloaf and Twin combo
Ashokan High Point
Peekamoose/Table combo
Thomas Cole/Blackhead/Blackdome combo
Plateau

Anything in the Gunks, kinda one big mountain, eh?

Hudson Highlands:
Storm King
Black Rock Mntn

Taconics:
Brace Mntn

Harriman State Park:
Black Mntn
West Mntn

Daks:
Dix
Algonquin
Marcy

Northern Hudson Valley:
Stissing Mntn

Southern Hudson Valley:
Anthony's Nose
Cranberry Mntn

Top 10 no specific order (way to many, this is kind of winging it)

Wallface
Pyramid
Jay
Street
Spotted
Little Buck
Hurricane
Tounge Mountains
Wakely
Adams

Catskills:
Ashokan High Point
Twin / Indian Head loop
Bearpen
Huntersfield
Kaaterskill High Peak
Overlook / Plattekill loop
Belleayre (via Cathedral Glen)

Adirondacks:
Noonmark
Algonquin
Colden
Giant / Rocky Peak Ridge traverse
Couchsachraga
Pitchoff

Shawangunks:
Millbrook Mt / Gertrude's Nose
Sam's Point / High Point, with the "Greater Ice Caves"
Giant's Workshop / Humpty Dumpty / Eagle Cliff ascent

Hudson Highlands:
Breakneck Ridge
Crow's Nest / Storm King loop

Favorite Peak in the Adirondacks

Like a good friend always said, "Whichever one we're standing on." There all so beautiful, even Couchsachraga and Cliff.

I always favored the Dix Range, Redfield and the Seward Range. Yes I am crazy.

In the Catskills:
Blackhead.
Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide traverse
Kaaterskill

Not enough in ADK completed yet but so far out of the 10 I've climbed I liked Algonquin, Colden and Dix the most.

I can't rightly count the number of times I've answered this question here on VFTT and elsewhere.

But once again, my hands-down favorite is Mt. Colden. I like the way it looks from Lake Colden and Flowed Lands, and always have. It beckons. It is fun to climb, no matter the route taken. And the VFTT is both fine and unique -- Algonquin over there, with Flowed Lands, Lake Colden and Avalanche Lake below, and Marcy et al, over there in the opposite direction.

My favorite itty-bitty is Mt. Van Hoevenberg, with the wonderful view from its summit ledges out across South meadow into the High Peaks.

Leavitt Pk (the mountain former known as SW Hunter)??? Shame on you.
It's Leavitt Peak! :D :p :D :) Edited by Peakbagr for the egregious error noted by Rob.

Of the ones I've climbed:

Brace
Blackhead/Black Dome
Indian Head
Twin

In the Adirondacks: (in no order after the first one 23 of 46 done)

Haystack
Big Slide Via Brothers (great via of Gothics, IMO view with Gothics is great so when on Gothics you don't see Gothics)
Hurricane
Marcy
Wright's
Algonquin
Gothics
Cascade (wish I had a view - must get back)
Colden
Hadley

If I had to pick just one in NY it would be Haystack
