WODC Spring Trail Cleanup Day is May 19

The WODC Annual Spring Trails Cleanup day is Saturday May 19. All are welcome to join, no experience needed. We'll meet at Ferncroft Parking Lot at 8:30AM. Dress appropriately for weather conditions, bring work gloves, lunch, and water. We'll plan to clean drainages and clear blowdowns. Typically we split up into groups of 3-5 to work on a specific trail or trails. Last year was a rainy May day so we concentrated exclusively on drainages, the perfect day for such work!!! We do have a decent supply of tools; most trails head into the Sandwich Range Wilderness so we will be using bow saws, hazel hoes, rakes, etc.

As you may know the Forest Service budget to support recreation and trails has been cut severely so this is a critical time to volunteer to support our trails, mountains, and forest.
