I'm planning to do the Hancocks this coming weekend and was wondering if anyone knows how the water crossings are on the Cedar Brook trail? I have read they can be difficult with high water. Also what are the current trail conditions in that area, how much snow should I expect to see.

I haven't been there recently but I'd expect 2+ feet of rotten snow above 3000-3500 feet, the snow is melting so I'd expect to maybe get my feet wet on the crossings. I'd say bring some sandals if you prefer. One or two of the crossings you can skip with a little bushwhacking/herd paths if I remember correctly.

from the AMC board last week...Hancock Loop. According to Kevin Rooney, it's a wet place in Spring. BTW, thanks Kevin. I had been planning on heading there myself soon. Now I'll wait.
