I haven't been able to get up myself to check out the damage or debris field from the avalanche last winter. Is anyone willing to share a quick summary of the residual damage, possibly some photos?

Pics would be great

I saw the winter pics and the debris pile was huge! Given that it was probabaly mostly snow and ice, and on top of the lake I was wondering how much of a scar would be left this summer.

Thanks,

Despite the damage further down, the vegetation both in the dyke and above remained intact. Given the breadth and depth of the dyke the capacity for it to hold snow could certainly have protected the underlying vegetation within, despite the huge nature of the flow and subsequent flash flooding outside the canyon walls.
