Hiker / Visitor Alerts and Current Conditions

Warning! Road washouts affecting Maine portion of White Mountain National Forest.
As a result of heavy rains on 11 July, flooding streams damaged several roads and bridges.
Route 2, which was initially closed, is now open to public traffic.
Wild River Road is closed due to washout.
Little Lary Road is closed due to washout.
Wild River Campground is closed until the access road can be repaired.
Hastings Campground is open, but must be accessed via Route 113 coming from the south (Fryeburg, Maine, area).
Route 113 is closed north of Hastings Campground to Route 2 due to washouts, and is unlikely to be opened for several days.
