Trail Conditions: Couple inches at the start, then up to 6 near the top. The top is mostly wind-swept of snow. Very icy under the snow, but managed without crampons.
Special Equipment: Full winter gear, crampons would be helpful, but sometimes bare rock underfoot. No snowshoes yet.
Comments: The Lincoln Gap road to the Long Trail is closed. I parked my car where the road was still flat (from the east side) and walked about a mile and a half up the steep road. The road also had ice under the snow. Cloudy, windy, cold. I will have to do Mt Ellen another time...
