Date of Hike: 12/1/2007
Trail Conditions: a few inches of packed snow over ice, but likely to change significantly in the next few days. pretty slick in spots.
Special Equipment Required: used stabilicers with decreasing effectiveness from the parking lot to about 3500', the steepest part of the ascent, before switching to crampons for most of the rest of the day. full winter gear required above treeline, especially face protection.
Comments: a fun day in wintry conditions. a few degrees below zero on top, sustained winds of ~20mph. limited visibility, so not much in the way of good photos today.
