Date of Hike: Thurs Dec 6, 2007 (turned around above treeline) and Sat Dec 8, 2007 (summitted)

Trail Conditions: 8" new snow at trailhead, 18" new snow near treeline, all now packed down. Plenty of wind, ice and major snow drifts above treeline. Water running freely at most stream crossings. All were crossed easily, but a couple could become difficult.

Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes - essential below treeline, Crampons - essential above treeline

Comments: Easy driving to turn around on West Kingfield Road 2 miles after it turns to dirt road. More adventerous sorts with good vehicle can probably drive another 1/2 mile.
