Snow conditions essentially the same as yesterday (see my report for 12/18). Most of the alternative routes to the summit from the Park HQ have now had at least one hiker break trail (I noticed that someone had snowshoed the White Cross). It is still possible to free boot the White Dot to the summit although I recommend crampons or stabilicers above 3/4 ledge. Very pretty with the snow and ice but limited visibility: I couldn't even see Mt. Wachusett 25 miles to the south. Wind around 10 mph sustained.
