Date of Hike: 12/22
Trail Conditions: this route saw lots of traffic yesterday and should be packed out now. On ascent we followed a large AMC group to ~3200'; after passing them there were only two barebooters and a dog ahead of us.
Special Equipment Required: snowshoes, every step of the way. We carried crampons but did not use them.
Comments: As a prior poster noted, Lafayette and Lincoln summits were in the clear, above the clouds, as were the Presidentials. Moosilauke just barely peeked through. The surrounding "undercast" was beautiful. What a lovely early Christmas gift.
