Trail Conditions: Trail well packed with some drifting powder along the ridge. No problems at stream crossings. There are a few "duck-unders" along the way, nothing serious.
Special Equipment Required: Snowshoes
Comments: It rained for a good part of the day and the trail turned into mashed potatoes. Even though it is packed, snowshoes are still in order to maintain a good surface. Most hikers have gone up the north peak and come down via the south. As such, the north slope has decent kick steps, the south is smooth from glissading. Some stumps and rocks are becoming exposed on the south peak slope so use caution...they hurt!
