Date of Hike: 12/30/2007
Trail Conditions:
ski trails - we bare booted to ~3200', then opted for snowshoes. Stay to the side! Beware kamikaze schussers!
Wildcat Ridge - should be well packed by now after a fair amount of use today by several groups including us (four people) and Hiker Ed's party (eight?). No problems traversing the infamous slide.
19 Mile Brook - we kept snowshoes on to the Carter Dome Trail junction, then barebooted from there back to route 16. Stabilicers would work well.
Special Equipment Required: snowshoes required.
Comments: great day. Thanks Foster, Mary, and Skip for your company.
