Conditions: Good snow cover with a thick crust underneath.

Special Equipment: snowshoes, and maybe a sled.

Comments: I half expected this location to be overrun with snowmobilers, but was pleasantly surprised to find no signs of their presence once we reached the Meadow Trail. We parked at the junction of Galusha Hill and Clark's Crossroad. Galusha Hill Road is not sanded (and only partially plowed) beyond this point. You're better off walking the short distance to the trailhead from here, as the road surface beneath the snow is very icy.
This little known trail offers great views for a very modest effort. There is an unmarked trail near the west side of Cedar Lodge which forms a loop back to Galusha Hill Road, just south of Clark's Crossroad.
