Trail Conditions: wet snow average 6 to 12 inches. The taconic trail is now broken out from southern end below Brace mountain to the north at Bash Bish Falls
Special Equipment Required: nothing required but on unbroken trail snow shoes would be helpful and on the steep sections Crampons would also help.
Comments: Very mild warm day. Only encountered one other hiker on the trail. It was supposed to be cloudy but cleared off to blue skys and great but hazy views in the afternoon... best hike of the year ( so far )
