Trail conditions: Mostly grainy snow, softening as the day warmed into the low 40s. The center of the trail was well packed and I bare-booted up, while John used stabilicers. On the ridge the packed part was narrower and the snow deeper. We both post-holed up over our knees at times. After a short break on the summit we put on snow shoes for the descent and were glad we did. A few easily passable blow-downs.
Equipment: Snow shoes and poles strongly advised.
Comments: No views. We were socked in all day. Nonetheless a nice hike with the warm temps and good snow coverage making for relatively fast hiking. 2 hours and 10 minutes up; 1 hour 20 minutes down.
