As on the the other side of Moosilauke, snow was very icy and packed hard from just about the trailhead (although it was damp and almost bare at the very start of the trail) to the summit. Snow warmed up and softened by the time of descent.

Traction needed: I wore crampons all the way up and most of the way down, although the bottom part of the descent had softened up and I removed the traction. I saw some people wearing Stabilicers, but I was happy to have the full crampons, especially on the upper parts of the trail.

Water crossings easy/negligible.

Warm temps, and not a breath of wind at the top. Good day. Nice turkey tracks in the snow...
