Trails: Weathersfield up, Brownsville down
Date of Hike: 1/28/2008
Trail Conditions: hardpacked snow lower down, eventually a few inches of fresh snow as you approached the top. There were a couple of icy spots just above the quarry that required care in descending.
Special Equipment Required: We barebooted the whole way. Carried snowshoes and crampons but never felt the need to put them on was worth the effort to.
Comments: We saw two guys coming up the Windsor trail with minimal gear so that is apparently barebootable as well (but don't take my word for it).
