East Sleeper/Whiteface via Blueberry Ledge & Kate Sleeper Trs. (& Rollins)
Date of hike 2/20/08
Al Dwyer and I did East Sleeper via Blueberry Ledge; this trail is well broken-out and there is a lot of snow on the ledges, no crampons needed (though I wore them coming down).
Kate Sleeper was broken out for about 0.4 mile, then the shoer turned around, which actually made the rest of the trail easier for us, since his giant snowshoe prints had frozen solid. Broke out the rest of the trail to East Sleeper and back.
Rollins to the summit of Whiteface is broken out.
