Mt. Mansfield 3/16/08

We broke trail through six inches of powder after we entered the softwoods, so the snowshoes were helpful. The white paint for the Long Trail disappeared into the snow somewhere just below Taft Lodge, so we missed the turn to the hut. We continued up to the col between the Adam's Apple and the Chin, but it was so foggy, we didn't go to the summit. I found a bag of tent poles. If you lost it, you can call me at 802 728 5312.
