We plan to come down from Canada this coming week-end to hike up Mt. Washington. We are wondering if the Ravine is skiable at this early time of the year...? Is it worth bringing our skis...?

Also, I've heard that a descent all the way down from the summit to Pinkham Notch visitor center was something possible... Is it ...?

Thx

If you want skiers reports, visit Time For Tuckerman and read the recent trip reports. Things are still challenging up in the Ravine itself, you should know about avalanche procedures, have the right gear, and pay close attention to the avy report. If you don't have that experience, a trip up to the base of the Ravine via the Tuckerman Ravine trail and then down via the Sherburne trail is safe and fun.
