Westside trail;
Mixed bag. earth, ice, snow, earth, ice, snow. with a side order of rock and mud. Conditions changed so much, we just barebooted.
Very surprised to see close to 2 ft. of snow in places before we intersected with the old indian trail.
Old indian, Harrington and West rd.;
Mostly snow and ice. Some ice patches ( and there are many ) will stop you in your tracks if you don't have any traction on.
Stabilicers or similar would be recomended.
Being lazy and or stupid, I barebooted the whole way. The snow is very consolidated, and we did a small amount of whacking on deep snow with no problem.
Nice little sunset/moonrise hike with F-face.
90% cotton!
